NJ Library Construction Bond
On November 7, 2017, New Jersey voters approved the NJ Library Construction Bond Act, making $125 million available for public library construction throughout the state. The first round of library construction bond act applications closed June 5 and the Trenton Free Public Library applied for a project, “Historic Building Repointing & Rehabilitation of the Reading Room”. We are currently waiting for an announcement from the Review Committee.
The Trenton Free Public Library purchased new desktop computers and network equipment to upgrade technology in all spaces in the library. The library has a new internet service provider that offers faster speed, and we are currently working on this project with various companies.
Social Justice Collection
The library created a “Social Justice” collection that is located in the Community Room A.
