Registration
Summer is here and so is our annual Summer Reading Program! Read books you like, keep track of your reading and win prizes!
You can register one of the following ways:
- Online Registration – Online registration is available thru ReadSquared.
- Paper Registration – Fill out a registration form and bring it in to the library when we reopen. You can start logging your reading even if you haven’t given us your registration form yet.
- Email or Phone – If you are unable to register online, or you are unable to print out a registration form, you can email us at gref@trentonlib.org or you can call us at 609-392-7188 and leave a message.
For kids who are not yet reading
Reading Logs For Kids (Keeping track of what you read)
You can log your reading one of the following two ways:
- Paper Reading Logs– Keep track of the books you listen to. Once your reach a goal, bring your reading log to the library to claim your prize. Printable reading logs are available at the bottom of this page.
- Online Reading Logs – Keep track of your books online with READsquared (Registration Required). Once you reach a goal, come to the library to claim your prize.
Goals & Prizes
*Reading doesn’t have to be done in one sitting! It can be done over a period of time!
Kids in this category keep track of how many books are read to them.
- Goal 1: Listen to 10 books, then come to the library to pick out a Treasure Box Prize.
- Goal 2: Listen to an additional 10 books, then come to the library to pick out a prize AND a book too keep.
- Goal 3: Listen to an additional 20 books, then come to the library to pick out a book to keep AND to enter your name into an End of Summer Reading Prize Drawing.

Missions
Besides reading, another way to work towards your goals is through Missions. Missions are tasks you complete to earn points that go towards your reading goals.
If you are registered and using READsquared, our online program, you can find and track your missions there.
If you are using paper registration, record your missions using the printable forms below and bring to the library when completed.

Teens in this category keep track of how many pages they read.
- Goal 1: Read 200 pages, then come to the library to pick out a keychain prize.
- Goal 2: Read an additional 200 pages, then come to the library to pick out a phone accessory prize.
- Goal 3: Read an additional 400 pages, then come to the library to pick out a book to keep, a gift card, AND to enter your name into an End Summer Reading Prize Drawing.
Continue reading throughout the summer to be eligible to win a Top Reader Grand Prize which will be given to the Teen reader who has logged the most pages read.
